Whether you like traditional mochi or iced mochi, here is a news that should delight you. Since 2020, a new address of the Maison du Mochi has opened to us.
Indeed, it is at 120 rue de Turenne in the 3rd district that the new shop-tea room is waiting for us very soon. So, if the Maison du Mochi in the 6th arrond issement was too far away for you, here is what should allow you to satisfy your sudden cravings for mochi.
As a reminder or for those who don't know (it happens), mochi is a ball-shaped pastry of Japanese origin which is made of glutinous rice and is filled with all sorts of different flavors. We find them in traditional version, very soft and slightly rubbery, and in iced version, firmer.
Matchamochi, almond mochi or traditional mochi with red bean or black sesame, from the simplest to the most amazing, they will all end up in your mouth soon because beware, starting this mochi from the house is adopting it.
At the opening, we were able to discover the novelties of the moment: the excellent Sakura mochi ephemeral, covered with its cherry leaf and the Chocomo, the chocolate mochi of Easter with toasted buckwheat, praline and vegan chocolate in collaboration with Laurent Duchêne.
This new address is composed of a store and a larger tea room than the first address. It's the ideal place to relax and enjoy a delicious tea with mochis.
Good mochis to all !
