Who hasn't heard of Chilam? Awarded the prize for the best tacos in Paris at the 2017 Que Gusto festival , Chilam recently opened a new gourmet address on the Bastille side of Paris. Larger than the now-closed stall nestled in the Marais, Chilam Bastille innovates and launches an original brunch with delicious Mexican flavors.
Available every weekend, Chilam's brunch offers an ultra-generous formula, complete with sweet and savory dishes, all for 29 euros.
We start with a delicious, fresh, warm brioche accompanied by a jam that perfectly combines strawberry and Mexican flavors.
This is followed by a generous and colorful open burrito featuring a risotto of cilantro, poached egg, avocado, tasty Portobello mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, arugula, pickled onions, fresh cheese and a green sauce made with tomatillo and serrano pepper.
For those with a sweet tooth, the burrito can be enjoyed in a carnivorous version with chorizo (extra charge €1.50) or the famous beef " arrachera" (extra charge €2.50).
Finally, Chilam Bastille lets you choose between a very pleasant fresh fruit salad (melon, pineapple, strawberries...) or the dessert of the day. That lunchtime, the restaurant had opted for a gourmet pastry, the Pastel de Los Leches, a real delight!
To accompany it all, we served a freshly squeezed fruit juice (orange or apple) and a hot drink (espresso, long coffee or tea). In short, a delicious and original brunch to discover without delay!
Chilam Bastille is open Wednesday to Friday from 7:30pm to 11:00pm, Saturday evenings until 11:30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12:30pm to 3:00pm.
