La Grande bouffe, the Sunday lunch of the MOB House in Saint-Ouen

As we all know, Sundays are family lunchtime, a time for getting together, catching up on the latest news and, above all, enjoying generous, home-cooked meals. At Feuille de Chou, the MOB House's organic brasserie, this same spirit is behind the new Grande Bouffe: a no-frills lunch, à la bonne franquette, to share.

The best Sunday lunches are certainly those we used to have at our grandparents', with kids running around and the whole family gathered around a huge dish to share. Feuille de Chou has drawn inspiration from this convivial get-together, which always leaves you with a full belly, for its new concept: La Grande bouffe, a Sunday lunch that's just like grandma and grandpa's house.

What's on the menu? A menu à la bonne franquette - well, no, there's no menu at all. Sundays at Feuille de Chou are like Sundays at home: the same thing for everyone. Period. The nice thing is that the same thing is a roast chicken, certified organic and accompanied by its salad of fries, vegetables and a green salad. If you're on a special diet (vegan or otherwise), we'll serve you fish or vegetables instead. Just let the waiters, dressed in their inimitable khaki overalls, know.

The restaurant even offers larger stomachs the option of extra fries on request, although "more often than not, customers are satisfied" with the first salad bowl, confides the chef. For starters, a variety of mezze: two permanent recipes and two recipes that change every week. For dessert, the same concept: sharing. Chocolate mousse, crème brûlée... The spirit is that of a good old-fashioned, franchouillard meal, which in no way detracts from the quality of the lunch.

At Feuille de Chou, 95% of the food cooked is certified organic, the dishes are cooked and prepared before your very eyes in the open kitchens, and all products are of French or Ile-de-France origin. Expect to pay €35 per adult and €18 per child under 12 for this brunch-like Sunday lunch, served every Sunday (reservations strongly recommended), from 12pm to 4pm. If you want to extend the day with the family, don't forget to visit the Puces de Saint-Ouen, a stone's throw from the MOB House, on your way in (or out)!
