Who said Disneyland Paris was all about fast food? Quite the contrary... In addition to a few restaurants that regular visitors are familiar with, such as Chez Rémi and its famous ratatouille, Pym Kitchen and its unusual buffet or Stark Factory and its tasty pizzas, this year the Walt Disney Studios park is organizing the new edition of Rendez-Vous Gourmand, starting on June 3, 2023.
The first edition, held in September 2017, was a success and was dedicated to the gastronomy of different French regions. This year, Disneyland Paris is once again extending the experience to our neighboring regions and beyond! And so, for the Rendez-Vous Gourmand, visitors can wander rue de Paris around a dozen small chalets offering everything that is the pride of our regions, Europe and Asia: so it's possible to take a trip to Alsace and sample sauerkraut, pass through Brittany and savor a galette, or rush to the Savoie chalet for fans of raclette or tartiflette.
As for the other stands, in addition to the three French stands(Savoie, Bretagne and Alsace), visitors can enjoy dishes from the Italy, Asia, "Encas de P'tite Faim", Belgium and Greece chalets, to eat in or take away. You can even pick up a sausage at the "Bistrot de l'été" stand. As for drinks, beers, wines and champagnes are on offer alongside softs at the "Bistrot de l'été " and the "Bar à vins".
Dishes that the editors had the privilege of testing at the first edition, in 2019: we concentrated on 6 stands, as we wandered around, and were thus able to taste a tartiflette at the Savoie stand, a chicken Colombo at the West Indies stand, a vegetable tart and a passion fruit juice at the Vegan stand, a slice of pizza and a glass of Lambrusco at the Italy stand and finally, a Kouign-Amann at the Bretagne stand.
The culinary specialities were always tasty, whatever the stand, and finely seasoned so that everyone could enjoy a little of everything. Neither too spicy, nor not spicy enough: you can really appreciate all the flavors on offer. We particularly loved the tartiflette, which brought back memories of Savoie, and the Kouign-Amann, neither too fatty nor too sweet.
All that remains is for you to discover what's new in this new edition... Shall we take a trip to Disneyland Paris, my friends?
