Fontainebleau is gearing up for a gourmet autumn with the first edition of the Festival du Goût de Seine-et-Marne, in the Cour Henri IV of the Château de Fontainebleau. On Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Seine-et-Marne local food lovers are invited to this festive, gourmet and, above all, free event!
On the program for this new festival are some twenty producers whose aim is to showcase local produce. It's an opportunity for the curious and the gourmet to meet, exchange ideas, taste and buy a multitude of fresh, quality products.
Among the local products to be discovered are cheeses, charcuterie, condiments, pastries, jams and honey, as well as a multitude of beverages - fruit juices, syrups, beers and rums.
Three top chefs will also be on hand to prepare recipes using products from Seine-et-Marne, in an ephemeral kitchen: Kunihisa Goto from the Michelin-starred L'Axel restaurant in Fontainebleau, Julien Dumas from the Michelin-starred Bellefeuille restaurant at the Hôtel Saint James in Paris, and Romain Fabry from the Hôtel Napoléon restaurant in Fontainebleau.
Free events are also planned throughout the day, with taste and sensory workshops for children and adults, smoothie bikes and food trucks serving up dishes based on local produce!
