Tucked away in a charming Saint-Germain-des-Prés passageway, Glacier des Prés is the ice cream parlour adjoining Brasserie des Prés. The ice creams and sorbets are homemade and turbinated on the premises!

Adjacent to Brasserie des Prés, Saint-Germain-des-Prés' best address hidden away in a charming cobbled passageway, Glacier des Prés is the work of the La Nouvelle Garde group, also behind the Bellanger, Dubillot and Martin brasseries. It's a must for any stroll through Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Driven by a desire to offer artisanal, homemade ice creams turbined on site, Glacier des Prés unveils a menu of traditionally flavored ice creams and sorbets, made with quality products that evolve with the seasons and the House's desires.

These include vanilla ice cream from Madagascar, Valhrona 70% chocolate ice cream from Ecuador, pistachio ice cream from Bronte, salted butter caramel ice cream and coffee ice cream. But Glacier des Prés also shows originality with a particularly delicate cherry yoghurt ice-cream and a Paris-Brest ice-cream that gets fans of the famous French dessert moving.

Glacier des Prés doesn't skimp on sorbet flavors either - at the moment, strawberry, blackcurrant, Sicilian lemon, passion fruit... And for even more naughtiness, you can add a topping (salted butter caramel, chocolate, red fruit coulis; +€0.50) and a variety of toppings (caramelized hazelnuts, pink pralines, crunchy raspberries, cocoa nougatine, vanilla chantilly; +€0.50).

Price: 4€ for a scoop in a cone or jar, 7€ for two scoops, 9€ for three scoops, to eat in or take away. While the Glacier des Prés and its pretty retro facade don't have a terrace per se, it's perfectly possible to set up shop on the adjoining terrace of the Brasserie des Prés.

Glacier des Prés also offers a selection of generous ice cream sundaes (10€/11€) to be eaten at the table, such as the gargantuan Coupe Chocolat Liégeois (3 scoops of chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and cocoa nibs), Coupe Café Liégeois or Coupe Paris-Brest.

And if you've still got a little room after all that ice cream, the Glacier des Prés also offers a short selection of cakes (cookie glacé, mi-cuit, cake of the moment; 5€-10€) to wolf down on the spot or during your stroll through the little streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés!
