A charming, trendy neo-brasserie in the 2nd arrondissement, Rivié is the restaurant of The Hoxton Paris hotel. Since its opening, it has attracted Parisians and tourists from all over the world alike.

Since 2017, the British hotel The Hoxton has been the talk of the capital. Housed in a listed 18th-century townhouse in the heart of Paris, it welcomes Parisians and tourists looking for a trendy place to stay every day.

The boutique hotel attracts the capital's gourmets with its Rivié restaurant, offering modern, refined cuisine.

When the weather's nice, the Hoxton 's pretty patio is the place to settle in for a cool lunch or dinner, surrounded by greenery. Welcoming a large number of customers throughout the day, Rivié is not for those looking for a small, intimate restaurant, but rather a lively spot.

On the menu are snacks, starters and a variety of dishes prepared with local produce. For those who enjoy sharing plates, Le Rivié offers vegetarian and meat options: sweet potato fries (10€), beef tartar on toast (13€), zucchini flowers (11€)...

Then come the starters, with five different choices. Our choice is the grilled gambas (16€), served in a number of 4, accompanied by a delicious grilled lemon and spiced butter sauce; and the baigorry trout gravlax (16€), as beautiful as it is good, served with a pomegranate vinaigrette and citrus zest. Our favorite is Le Rivié 's gravlax!

We continue with successful dishes, but not necessarily the most hearty: the ultra-light grilled octopus (28€) - thanks to its accompaniment - a salad of yellow and green zucchini, lemon aioli and confit tomatoes! -and the ravioles forestières (26€), a tasty vegetarian option, stuffed with pickled enoki mushrooms and bonito, dipped in a mushroom broth.

For those with a sweet tooth, there's a dessert menu offering a range of options, such as the strawberry basil pavlova (12€) with meringue, strawberry compote and lemon basil sorbet, or for chocolate fans, the chocolate mousse (10€) with chocolate streusel (a cocoa crumble).

Well-executed and tasty, Rivié 's cuisine has become a must in the Sentier district! The same goes for breakfast, which we also had the opportunity to try!

In the mornings, the menu is healthy and vitamin-packed, with fresh fruit juices, avocado toast (€15), granola, red fruit pancakes and traditional eggs Benedict with a punchy yuzu hollandaise sauce.

A great way to start the day!
