Head over to Parc de Villette to discover Legato. A new restaurant opened in June, bright and open, cosy and warm, where you can relax and enjoy an excellent meal.
More than just a restaurant, it's a real place to live. Co-working spaces, chesterfield sofas and a large, cosy bar set the scene, with the restaurant in the background, in front of large glass doors opening onto the landscaped terrace.
The restaurant alone seats around 50, but you're free to choose to lunch or dine in the lounges in the living space. Or, why not, in the extraordinary yurt on the terrace. A guaranteed change of scenery for an atypical meal. In the evening, a wooden chalet with a brazier offers soups, mulled wine and hot chocolate in the old-fashioned style.
Cushioned banquettes, plush seating and lounger chairs make up the restaurant's urban, baroque and industrial decor. A pretty eclectic mix whose ultimate aim is to make you feel right at home.
Currently open Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers refined urban cuisine. Fresh, seasonal produce is the order of the day, and the chef(Frédéric Bertrand) is dedicated to serving you tasty dishes that blend tradition and modernity.
For starters, let yourself be tempted by the excellent crispy shrimps accompanied by its peanut carrot bavarois and sweet and sour vinaigrette.
The main course featured tender saddle of lamb stuffed with pistachios and cranberries, accompanied by celery, and monkfish medallions with Thai spices and coconut milk, accompanied by a farandole of seasonal vegetables. A richly flavored discovery.
Dessert options include apple crumble with nougatine chips, the timeless chocolate moelleux with a pistachio custard twist, or the elegant Mascarpone on a bed of exotic fruit tartare. The restaurant offers a daily-changing menu for those wishing to enjoy a regular lunch with market choices.
Note that the bar, open from 12pm to midnight, offers happy hour every Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 9pm. Take advantage of this opportunity to try our flagship cocktails, such as the Portobello Mojito (mint, lemon and old whisky) or the Belvédère ephemeral cocktails.
So, why not grab a bite to eat in a relaxed, welcoming setting?
