Privé de Dessert sets up shop a stone's throw from the Aligre market

Five years after setting up shop in Pigalle, the king of trompe-l'oeil dishes Privé de Dessert is doubling up, opening a second restaurant in the 12th arrondissement on rue Théophile Roussel on June 25, 2018.

Saint Honoré? No, a burger. Churros? No, fries. Spaghetti? Lost again, it's a lemon meringue pie... Privé de Dessert has fooled thousands of gourmets with its trompe-l'oeil dishes since it opened five years ago in the Pigalle district. Now it's back with a new address, this time in the 12th arrondissement, next to the Marché d'Aligre.

The concept remains unchanged, with dishes that look like desserts, and desserts that look suspiciously like dishes. A visual deception that has made the reputation of this bistronomic So-Pi address launched by two mischievous thirty-somethings: Sephora Nahon, who quit her job to pursue a career in pastry, and Sophie Journo, ex-communications manager at Ducasse.

Their second Parisian restaurant is located at 7 rue Théophilie Roussel. On the menu: a baba au rhum that hides a lamb confit, or a riz au lit that's actually a pasta risotto with tomato confit and mozzarella di Buffala. See you on June 25, the opening date of this new spot where everything is homemade from fresh produce, to discover the rest of the menu!
