Opened just three months ago, l'Attache is already running smoothly. It has to be said that Matthieu and Jérôme, the two partners who transformed a small fruit and vegetable stall into a well-polished bar, are not newcomers. Indeed, the former has worked at Café de la Nouvelle Mairie and Le Clamato, while the latter has worked at La Renaissance.
If, perched on our bar stools, we almost feel like we're in their kitchen because we're so welcome, we soon realize that we're dealing with professionals. At l'Attache, everyone has their own playground: Matthieu's is wine, while Jérôme's is cooking.
When it comes to wine, l'Attache is unique in that it only serves natural wines, in other words, beverages whose grapes have been grown without any additives and whose vinification is equally devoid of any chemical inputs. The result? Wines that are sure to surprise and change from the Bordeaux served in the bar downstairs, while remaining, we assure you, tasty. Ask to taste, express your requirements and preferences, or let Matthieu guide you. Either way, your palate will thank you!
Speaking of palates, you can also enjoy Jérôme's dishes. The menu, which changes daily, offers small plates to nibble on, with products that are absolutely extravagant. The specialty? Beef tartare au couteau (10/19€), whose ultra-melting meat comes straight from the Aligre market, a stone's throw away. We also opt for the Japanese-inspired pollack tartare (12€ for the small version, 23€ for the main course), the burrata and its heirloom tomatoes (to die for, albeit a tad pricey at 18€) and the tartine of the day: gorgonzola-pancetta-onion confit (9.5€). We conclude with a cheese platter, including an ultra-creamy Saint-Félicien such as we've rarely tasted, and the dessert of the day: fresh fruit salad with crème crue (8€).
Welcomed like royalty and delighted by what we've just tasted, we leave with sparkling eyes and the feeling that, in the end, this is what happiness is all about.
