The Comptoir des Fables, welcomes you in the heart of the dynamic Saint-Dominique street which crosses the 7th district of Paris from the Champ-de-Mars to the Esplanade des Invalides. The restaurant, which is both a tapas bar and a cocktail bar , welcomes you all year round in one of its two rooms or on the terrace. True to its motto, "Happiness is only real when it is shared", the Comptoir des Fables is a table of sharing to spend a convivial moment with the people you love.
Here, the watchword is sharing! The idea is to choose among the thirty or so tapas offered and to pick from each dish with your friends! Moreover, everything is so tempting that we make a point of tasting EVERYTHING! We fall for the green zucchini accras that melt in the mouth. This dish, spiced up with a "dog sauce", a sauce originating from the West Indies and Guyana, close to the South American chimichurri and the Argentinian salsa criolla, brings an explosion of flavors that convinced the whole table.

For a note of freshness, we opt for Guacamole from the counter, perfectly seasoned, to crush yourself with a pestle or for the Crudo of sea bass seasoned with a Kalamansi dressing, a small exotic fruit from South-East Asia rich in vitamin C, and garnished with clementines.
Other side dishes include sautéed vegetables, roasted potatoes, smoked hay mashed potato and roasted porcini mushrooms, which vary with the seasons. Each dish is served in a portion to be shared as tapas, kemias, zakouski or even mezzes, as they are called in different regions of the world.
The Fable Counter also offers a meat suggestion (which varies regularly in the daily suggestions) served on a Barbecue box lit at the time of service to give a light smoky taste to the dish. On the day of our test, we were able to taste the Cannette sur coffre au Barbecue with a creamy polenta and roasted figs! A tasty and well-balanced dish to discover without delay.

Note that the restaurant also offers a selection of vegetarian tapas such aseggplant chermoula, a marinade or Maghrebian sauce that is most often used to accompany fish, accompanied by bulgur with almonds and preserved lemon,Egg Kadaïf, a kind of fine Turkish noodle, with spinach and parmesan cheese and Pimientos de Padrón, a variety of chili peppers from the municipality of Padrón, in northwestern Spain, with fleur de sel.
And if you have a sweet tooth, the sweet corner is not to be outdone! On the menu, you'll find the Tonka puff pastry with pralines and crunchy peanuts, the refreshing chocolate creamy with black sesame and candied kumquat sorbet or the orange and grapefruit Pavlova served with a Yuzu sorbet... In short, fresh and light desserts that make your mouth water just by reading their title!

And who says counter says of course bar in which works the barman who proposes "Signature" cocktails which change with the seasons and according to his desires. Moreover, the establishment is equipped with the ingenious Coravin glass service system which keeps the wine at the right temperature by placing the bottle under nitrogen so as not to lose its organoleptic qualities and aromas.
