Gourmet burgers are always in vogue, and even today we're discovering more and more hot spots that push the boundaries of deliciousness even further. This time, we'd like to invite you to try a brand-new spot where you can enjoy the famous American sandwich with an exceptional meat: Wagyu beef.
The address is Baagaa burger, a trendy, friendly eatery just off the Trocadéro, not far from the Eiffel Tower. Nestled at 54 rue Longchamp, this ultra-gourmet spot offers a fresh take on the gourmet burger. The bun is made by artisan baker Jean-Luc Poujauran, a renowned name in the 10% gluten-free world of gastronomy, while the creative recipes are devised by chef Thomas Boutin of Au Vieux Crapeau.
But the restaurant's biggest draw is its choice of meat. We've already told you that the burgers are made with Wagyu beef, one of the best meats in the world... what we haven't told you is their excellent value for money: €12 on average. This attractive price is due in no small part to the fact that the restaurant has its own livestock farm in Normandy. As we're told, the animals are treated with as much care as the highly prized Kobe beef.
The menu features five Wagyu beef burger recipes, as well as three chicken, salmon and vegetarian alternatives, plus a burger of the moment. For our part, we'll be tempted by the Copperfield (Wagyu, snow peas, Morbier, candied tomatoes, sucrine and Philly sauce) and the Malvina Furax (Wagyu, tomato, cheddar, minced green chili, sucrine and hot sauce). While the two burgers overflowing with toppings offer an excellent balance of flavors, the latter is for lovers of spicy flavors.
Here you have a choice of cooking methods, but we strongly recommend that you choose medium-rare, even if you prefer it pink or rare: it's the best way to enjoy this delicious wagyu steak, with its rich marbling and melt-in-your-mouth texture. You can even be tempted by the delicious charcuterie platter to enjoy the full flavor of this exceptional meat!
Add a refreshing milkshake to finish on a sweet note, and you're on top of the game. As an added bonus for beer lovers, you'll also find a fine selection of previously unreleased beers here: great discoveries in store!
