Located in Rueil-Malmaison, just a few minutes from Paris in the Hauts-de-Seine department (92), Diwali unveils a refined setting where the finest Indian gastronomy is revealed.
The spacious restaurant boasts an attractive outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery. The large central bar and counter is surrounded by numerous tables to welcome both lovers in a subdued atmosphere and large groups with family or friends. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the decor is tinged with references to Indian culture.
The Diwali restaurant features traditional Indian cuisine. All the restaurant 's dishes are prepared using only the freshest ingredients. Here, preparations can simmer for an entire day to delight us and bring out the beautiful spicy Indian flavors we love so much. A fine balancing act that the chef handles with care.
Our taste buds travel from appetizer to dessert. There's something for everyone, whether you're a carnivore, a vegetarian or a fish lover, there's plenty to choose from on the à la carte menu.
Of course, there are the great classics, such as hot, plump naans and Indian plates featuring a variety of meat and vegetable preparations to whet the appetite. Various breads are also on offer, such as parathas and chapatis. Fans of West Indian cuisine can even indulge in accras, shrimp pudding or colombo.
We like tandoor cooking (the traditional Indian oven), which adds less fat.
Let yourself be tempted by the famous chicken tikka massala or gambas dal sag (gambas curry accompanied by a preparation of Indian lentils and spinach). Then there's Butter Chicken or Biryanis, 25-spice dishes prepared with rice and served with curry sauce and Raita. Vegetarian, chicken, shrimp, lamb or salmon are all on the menu.
And last but not least, one of the many Indian dessert specialties, as well as classics such as ice cream sundaes, banana splits, coconut flan and runny chocolate cake.
Note that the restaurant is halal, and also available for takeaway or delivery. Everything has been thought out so that wherever you go to enjoy Diwali cuisine, the experience will always be just as good.
