Season Square, the delicious, affordable vegan canteen in the 13th arrondissement

You'd be hard pressed to miss this little restaurant on the corner of two streets, not far from Station F, rue Louise Weiss in the 13th arrondissement. And that would be a shame, because Season Square is one of those canteens we love: no fuss, generous in both its cuisine and its large tables, where we love to gather with friends at lunchtime.

You can opt for a dish à la carte or one of the formulas (small or large), for €14 .50 or €16.50. Here, everything is homemade: especially the veggie steaks, made with wheat protein, tofu and kidney beans to give them a softness very close to our usual beef hamburger. From the bacon to the spicy mayonnaise sauce and the homemade pastries, everything, absolutely everything, is prepared with respect for the vegan diet - meaning no meat, fish, eggs or dairy products.

In the end, you'll be spoilt for choice between their vegan kebab served in a patty or their gourmet burgers: the classic Season, the Crispy with its breaded veggie steak, the Spicy with its delicately spiced mayo on a slice of faux bacon... The taste and texture are all there, from the perfectly brioche bun to the crunchy pickles and the melt-in-your-mouth steak. As a side dish, you can opt for classic fries with homemade mayo, corn or a small salad, and for the finishing touch, you can even choose from a range of beverages, including homemade sodas and ice teas.

For those with a small appetite, the burger or kebab costs €9, while the large bowls, like mixed salads, cost €12.5. As a special treat, you can also indulge in one of Season Square 's homemade sweets : these include peanut fudge cookies, chocolate chip muffins, all-chocolate gluten-free fudge, and huge rolls filled with chocolate or cinnamon.

Suffice to say, the menu (big or small) is downright copious! We love thefriendly atmosphere of the place, the fast canteen-style self-service (each person takes their own tray, picks up their order and clears it away) and the very attractive menu, which is suitable for young and old, meat-eaters and vegans alike (yes, we can). In short, this is a great place to try out in the 13th arrondissement for a quick lunch break with colleagues or friends!
