Chalet des Îles fondue evenings: cheese and dinner by the fireplace

Winter is here, and with it, time to bring out the heavy artillery to counter the sub-zero temperatures and particularly cold weather of late: raclette, fondue, tartiflette and any other comforting speciality that includes (lots of) cheese. In the 16th arrondissement, Chalet des Îles invites you to its new fondue evenings every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the winter.

This unique restaurant, set on an island in the middle of the Bois de Boulogne's lower lake, is the perfect place to enjoy a heart-warming fondue with family and friends this winter. It's a fitting tribute to the chalet's history, brought back from Switzerland completely dismantled on the orders of Napoleon III, who had it reassembled (and brought back, in other words) out of love for his wife Eugénie.

Completely renovated, the historic chalet reopened its doors to the public in the spring of 2025 : this winter, it's the perfect opportunity to discover this restaurant in a unique Parisian location over a fondue to share with friends and family. Expect to pay €39 per person for an evening by the fireplace, with fondue on the menu (accompanied by charcuterie, potatoes, gherkins and salad).
