At the corner of Charles V and Saint Paul Street, this historic 17th century winery has been transformed into a trattoria. The Enoteca was one of the few wine inns approved by King Louis XIV. A little piece of history, so dear to Alexandra Chapon, owner of the place, as well as Aux vins des Pyrénées and Chez Julien. He loves wine and likes to put it in the spotlight. That's why this address is a historical place of wine in the capital.
Created in December 1990, this place needed a makeover and to do so, the owner of the place called upon Ingrid Taillandier to completely renovate the floor with a chic and warm decoration, which reminds us of Fellini's Italy. Comfortably installed, we come to have a drink while reading a book or we let ourselves be tempted by a real dish of pastas, Italian style! The spirit of the "private room" is different from the atmosphere of the ground floor, much more timeless with its old stones and its exposed beams as well as its hand-blown Murano glass chandeliers. We are more in the authentic Italy and it is this duality of the place that makes it a surprising place.
At the helm of the kitchen is Italian chef Lucas Minetti, who takes us on a journey to the land of La Dolce Vita with his homemade cuisine, based on products from small producers. Like a master, he makes his own pasta in the basement laboratory! We recommend the minute risotto that your taste buds will remember. Also on the menu are clam taglioni, speck, melted pear and gorgonzola ravioli and the famous beef tenderloin tagliata. Not to mention the signature dish inspired by his grandmother: beef cheeks with sweet and sour bell pepper sauce. As for desserts, the festival continues with a tiramisu to die for, a delicious red fruit pannacotta and, above all, "Il Corleone", a dessert based on candied eggplant that requires 3 days of preparation and 5 hours of cooking!
To accompany all these dishes that smell good Italy, an exceptional wine cellar of more than 2000 bottles and more than 350 references. L'Enoteca has been elected best Italian wine restaurant several times. You can count on the advice of Thierry, Roberto and Margherita to choose the wine that will sublimate the dish you have chosen! The enthusiasts will be able to buy some rare references to take away.
In short, you will have understood, the Enoteca is a real trip to the heart of Italy as well in the plate as in the decoration, whose duality allows to vary the pleasures, according to your desires.
