East Mamma, Big Mamma's authentic Italian cuisine

We've discovered a little piece of Italy in Paris, tucked away on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine. East Mamma is the first restaurant from Tigrane Seydoux and Victor Lugger, two Italian lovers who take us on a journey in the blink of an eye.

At East Mamma, you don't just eat pizza and pasta, you immerse yourself in Italian culture and savor the moment in Italy. It's a great success for Tigrane Seydoux and Victor Lugger, two HEC alumni who won Unibail's Idoine competition, and gleaned the sum of €750,000 to bring their project to fruition.

Their concept, Big Mamma, showcases the best Italian producers and their products in unique dishes offered in different locations around Paris. While East Mamma is their first restaurant, the pair will soon be opening a new outlet in one of Unibail-Rodamco's shopping centers. On the menu? Local cheeses and charcuterie, sublimated on platters to share or in dishes to die for.

We fell in love with the range of Italian products on offer, to be enjoyed alone or in a group, with the promise of fresh Mozzarella di bufala DOP, delivered in two days from Naples, in individual versions for 7€ or braided versions for 21€ (500gr to be shared by 4), creamy burrata to be shared by two for 11€, stracciatella (the creaminess of burrata to be tasted with a teaspoon) and even ricotta di buffala with honey for 7€! Charcuterie lovers are not forgotten, with an offer of Parma DOP ham matured for 24 months, mortadella, bresaola and "del Fondatore" ham, considered the noblest of Italian hams. To our delight, and to satisfy even the most curious and gourmet palates, East Mamma is offering both products (ham and cheese) for €13.

Already blown away by this offer, we were left speechless by the pizzas, made in front of us by Italian pizza makers (some of whom don't even understand French!), who put a smile on our faces with their joie de vivre. East Mamma's pizzas and pastas feature delicious Italian products in generous portions at reasonable prices (expect to pay around €13 for a dish). The two partners behind the concept explain: "Everything about pizza
is Neapolitan: the pizzaiolo, the oven, the flour, the tomato, the mozza di bufala. [...] at prices you'd find in the trattorias of deepest Italy".

Desserts include the house tiramisu, panna cotta, rice pudding and a nutella© spread pizza for 8€...

We could do with a little Italian sunshine!
