Children's cooking workshops with RECHO at Bal Café (18th arrondissement)

One Wednesday a month, the RECHO association invites young Parisians and Ile-de-France residents to take part in one of its solidarity cooking workshops, to discover recipes from around the world and meet other children!

RECHO is an association that fights to promote social inclusion and living together through cooking: this is how the association created Bal Café, its solidarity restaurant in the 18th arrondissement, where refugees are trained to become professional chefs and waiters. As part of its solidarity project, RECHO now also organizes low-cost cooking classes for children aged 6 to 11.

So, meet up one Wednesday a month for a 1h30 cooking workshop (two sessions per Wednesday) to cook and then share a snack together. The workshops are supervised by volunteers from the RECHO association and an exiled cook on a Bal Café integration contract. Every Wednesday, children can discover recipes from the four corners of the world, learn how to make them and then reproduce them at home! The association's aim is to be as inclusive as possible, enabling children from all social backgrounds to take part in their workshops, so the cooking workshop is free of charge, with RECHO asking only a token fee of €1 to take part.

The next workshop dates have already been set until June:

  • Wednesday, February 28
  • Wednesday March 27
  • Wednesday April 24
  • Wednesday May 29
  • Wednesday, June 26

Put on your aprons and get cooking!
