Michaël Bartocetti' s Christmas Log at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris is as original as it is delicious. Indeed, as Christmas is above all a family celebration, the chef drew on his childhood memories to find the image of a timeless, aesthetically pleasing toy. In terms of flavors, the chef has opted for sure-fire values to please young and old alike. Chocolate is an ideal choice. Especially since this chocolate base is a real killer. With its beggar's shape, it contains roasted nuts and dried fruit - we love it.
This top, made up of 5 parts to assemble, reveals several layers. Imagine a Madong chocolate mousse from Papua New Guinea on a bed of old-fashioned hazelnut praline, with a creamy gianduja and a gingerbread cookie, all resting on a hazelnut and fleur de sel crunch, and the whole covered with a delicate layer of 66% Caraïbe chocolate.
