Choice, originality and, above all, goodness, that's what Christophe Michalak has concocted for us to enjoy during the 2019 festive season. As the years go by, Christophe Michalak extends the range of his creations. This year, no less than 4 logs are on the menu for Christmas Eve!
First, there's the signature log, christened "Violin". Here, Christophe Michalak pays tribute to French-American artist Arman, known for his violin cut-outs, glued or welded together using a variety of noble materials. This pretty signature log features a flowing pecan praline and a creamy, intense dark chocolate mousse.
Christophe Michalak then unveils a trio of pop logs:
The Oriental pistachio log, featuring a Joconde cookie soaked in an Oriental punch of rosewater, orange blossom and bitter almond, a pistachio praline, a pistachio praline confit, light Oriental chantilly cream and pistachio praline mousse.
The mango log, featuring a Joconde cookie and an exotic mango, passion fruit and guava cream, a coconut crunch, an exotic confit and a mango mousse.
La bûché lactée chocolat-caramel, with a chocolate cookie and two mousses, one with caramel and the other with milk chocolate; a hazelnut crunch and soft caramel with Dulce de Leche.
Last but not least, for those who like to get their hands dirty, Christophe Michalak has come up with a do-it-yourself log to make at home. A real rolled log to finish off at home, featuring a dark chocolate cookie, Jivara - passion whipped cream and crunchy pearls.
Of course, it doesn't stop there. The chef has also imagined some delicious chocolates for you: two Santa Claus filled with sweets (45€ for 300g, 12.50€ for 70g - unfilled); a milk fir rose des sables (30€) and a beggar fir (35€).
And, of course, we haven't forgotten the Advent calendar , so you can look forward to the festive season.
