French now are persona non grata in the United States. President Donald Trump has announced to shut for 30 days all travels from Europe to the United States. This measure will be implemented this Friday March 13th at midnight but will not include the United Kingdom.

Yesterday, Wednesday March 11, while the World Health Organization has reclassified the coronavirus epidemic into a pandemic, President Donald Trump has decided to suspend travels from Europe to the United States for 30 days.

I have decided to take several strong but necessary actions to protect the health and wellbeing of all Americans.” Donald Trump explained in a solemn speech this Wednesday March 11th from the White House.

To keep new cases from entering our shores, we will be suspending all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days.” He added.

Please note this new rule is said to go into effect this Friday March 13th at midnight (5 a.m. CET on Saturday). Yet one country is not concerned by this new measure: United Kingdom.

Bad news for people in Europe who were supposed to travel to the United States in the upcoming days but also for tourism that is already highly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. We only have to know if Americans will still travel to Europe and come to Paris

For the record, the United States of America are also affected by the coronavirus spread. So far, over 1200 COVID-19 cases and 38 dead have been reported, according to the statistics released by the Johns Hopkins University.
