In an interview with Le Parisien, Health Minister Olivier Véran has addressed a few relaxing measures as for the application of the health pass. Already compulsory to access places of leisure and culture, the latter is to be extended from August 9 to many public places following approving of the law instating the health pass and compulsory vaccine to caregivers by the Constitutional Council this past Thursday.

So far, the health pass came in as a QR code proving complete vaccinal scheme, negative Covid-19 test in the past 48 hours, or recovery.
From this day forth, a negative test is valid up to 72 hours for people not vaccinated. It will be also possible to “take self-test supervised by a health professional, in addition to antigenic and PCR tests. They will be valid 72 hours as well”, the Health Minister added.
Véran also reminded the health pass will not be required to see one’s general practitioner, unlike in hospitals where it could “curb access to useful and urgent care”.
