The Petite Ceinture – a 32.5-km train line surrounding the city, created in 1852, has disappeared in the 20th century, as the metro and suburban trains took over.
Since then, the city has been reopening the access, as these wild places are refurbished, and as biodiversity and vegetation have taken over. These privileged and green spaces are perfect to rest in the city, far from the Parisian hustle and bustle.
