Coupe de France: exceptional security measures for the match at the Stade de France

This Saturday, April 29, 2023, the final of the French Cup will take place at the Stade de France, for the greatest happiness of soccer fans and in particular of the clubs of Toulouse and Nantes, which will face each other in a match that promises to be mythical. But for once, the meeting will take place under high tension, because of the presence, however usual, of the President of the Republic in the stands. With the 49.3 around the pension reform, the demonstrations continue to take place every day, during the travels of members of the government, and the anger does not seem to go down. That's why an exceptional security device has been set up for the match.

3000 policemen and gendarmes will be mobilized for this occasion, witha protection perimeter around the Stade de France from 3:30 pm .Screening and controls will be provided by the organizers, to avoid any object prohibited by the FFF and especially whistles.An action of several unions, now forbidden by the prefecture, was indeed planning to distribute red cards and sound devices to the public. Adevice of image capture by drones is also planned outside and inside the stadium.

Because of these demonstrations of discontent announced during the match, the President of the Republic will not go down as the tradition wants it on the lawn to give the Trophy of the French Cup. This action will therefore take place in the stands, at the request of the Prefect of Police, and gates have been set up in the curves of the stadium, to avoid an invasion of the field.

To get to the Stade de France safely, please follow a precise itinerary according to the door displayed on your ticket. It is better to arrive early to avoid the crowds in public transport during this type of event.
