RATP is launching the first"public transport permit" from the start of the 2023/2024 school year, targeting young passengers from CM2 to class 5. This initiative aims to teach teenagers the essential rules of safety and responsible driving on the network, thus preventing accidents.
Much more than a test, the "public transport permit" is a free, fun awareness-raising session! Offered in metro, RER and bus stations such as La Défense (RER A), Saint-Lazare (Line 14), Bobigny - Pablo Picasso (Bus) and Porte de Vincennes (Tramway T3b), this 30-minute experience takes place in small groups in the presence of parents.

Participants discover a"safety course" with games, illustrating safety rules and devices, and learn tips for traveling with complete peace of mind. At the end of the course, a multiple-choice test is used to obtain the precious "public transport permit". The youngsters also take away the "On se déplace en famille" game to continue learning at home.
After the first sessions on August 26, new slots will be available every month from October 2023, booked via the RATP website.
A good initiative to prepare them to master public transport with confidence, reassuring young people as much as their parents!
