" The passage of ex-hurricane "KIRK" will bring moderate to heavy rain to the whole region until mid-night on Wednesday to Thursday " warns the weather service, adding that " over the whole rainy episode, which will last around 24 hours, rainfall totals will be very high, with 40 to 70 mm most often, and even 80 mm very locally in southern Yvelines, Essonne and Seine-et-Marne ". In Paris, 60 to 65 mm of rain is forecast.

Several RER and Transilien stations, as well as some metro stations, could be flooded and become inaccessible. Already, on Monday October 7, the Porte de Clichy metro station on line 14 was flooded by torrential rain around 9pm. As a result, the Porte de Clichy station had to close its doors to passengers. This was reported by the X account of the 'Plus de trains' association, relayed by our colleagues in Le Parisien.
So, should we expect further flooding in some stations this October 9? The situation is likely to be closely monitored. Transilien is therefore warning of possible disruptions to Paris and Ile-de-France transport services. Transilien advises passengers to check train schedules before arriving at stations.
