Silence
Saturday, May 17, 2025 6pm to midnight
Free admission, subject to availability
From 12 years
You are the conductor of your own tour, in an acoustic and immersive stroll. Experience the social and historical balance between noise, calm and silence.
Like noise, silence is part of our daily lives. It has become an increasingly rare commodity. Even though many people in our hectic societies seek peace and quiet, our relationship with silence is ambivalent, with the idea of absolute silence being both pleasing and threatening.
Theexhibition takes you, equipped with headphones, on a fantastic journey that reveals the great diversity of silences.

Machine arrière, #1 : le radio-transistor
Saturday May 17, 2025 6 pm to midnight
From 15 years
With the new Machine arrière exhibition series, the Cité and Studio Radio France combine their expertise to immerse visitors in sound.
Thehistory of science and technology is an important educational tool for cultivating interest in science and developing critical thinking. With the new Machine arrière series of exhibitions, the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie and Studio Radio France are combining their expertise to immerse visitors in sound, inviting them on a journey through time to encounter an object and its era. The first exhibition in this series is devoted to radio, starting in the present day and going all the way back to 1968 with the transistor.
The history of science and technology is made up of trial and error, chance and interruption. It is a collective history, closely linked to the political and social context. Let's deconstruct the idea of an individual invention, the fruit of a flash of genius.

Stroll under the stars
Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm
Ages 9 and up
Free admission, subject to availability
Discover the secrets of the sky chart and learn how to use it to escape into the night sky.

Is finding your bearings at night or observing the sky a headache? Not really. And what are those points of light that sometimes cross our celestial vault in front of the fixed stars? How do you observe and find planets, comets, asteroids, meteorites, shooting stars...?

Dogs and cats
Saturday, May 17, 2025 6pm to midnight
From age 6
Free admission, subject to availability
Think you know dogs and cats? Maybe you don't, but you'll find out as you visit the exhibition.
Cat or bichon, doggie or pussycat, felines and canines have been mankind's companions for thousands of years. In France today, there are almost 23 million of them in households. But how do they differ from wild animals? How do they perceive the world? What are their emotions? Do they communicate? Do they understand us? An exhibition with dog (and cat) talk!
Theexhibition-event Dogs and Cats - first presented at the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie in 2015 - returns to Paris in a new version, after winning over 3 million visitors in 6 countries (France, USA, Canada, Portugal, Austria and the UK)!
3 themes: Biology, history, relationships with humans, then from the point of view of cats and dogs, ethology and behavior, and finally in our societies with a focus on animal welfare
