Maxime Pauty, Maximilien Chastanet and Enzo Lefort faced the US team in a nine-set relay. Both sides had to show strategy, daring and great composure during this suspense-filled encounter. In the end, the French won 45 points to 32.
Under the fervor of the Grand Palais crowd , the foilists were finally able to dominate this team relay, picking up France's seventh medal in fencing during this summer 2024. Although French fencers have often missed out on gold during these Olympic Games, they are nonetheless collecting medals during these Paris 2024 Olympics. With this bronze medal, the men's French team has scored a nice victory, and one more medal to add to our tricolore palmares!
