Once again,Cinef has confirmed its role as a springboard for new talent. After a new edition rich in discoveries, this prestigious competition has just unveiled its vintage 2024 winners, rewarded under the aegis of the jury presided over by Belgian actress Lubna Azabal, surrounded by French director Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, Italian programmer Paolo Moretti, French producer and director Claudine Nougaret and Serbian director Vladimir Perišić.
Once again this year, the choice proved difficult, with no fewer than 18 films by film students chosen from 2,263 applicants from 555 film schools around the world. This record number of entries testifies to the growing importance of La Cinef on the international film scene.
The winners received €15,000, €11,250 and €7,500 respectively, but beyond the financial aspect, these prizes also offer real visibility to these young filmmakers, opening the way to new opportunities.
Note that the winning films will be screened at the Pantheon cinema on June 3 and at the MK2 Quai de Seine on June 4, 2024.
