You've been dreaming of going to the Cannes Film Festival 2024, climbing the famous red steps and discovering the new films before anyone else, but you just couldn't make it? Are you an avid cinephile or just curious about the 7th art? Then this selection is for you.
In fact, few people know it, but it is possible to discover, just a few days after the festival-goers, the films in competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 in several Paris cinemas!
From the end of May and throughout June, head to the MK2 Bibliothèque, the Arlequin, the Cinémathèque Française, the Louxor, the MK2 Beaubourg and other cinemas in Paris and the Ile-de-France region for previews of the features and shorts presented in the Official Competition, Un Certain Regard, as well as at the Quinzaine des Cinéastes, Semaine de la Critique andAcid.
The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on France 2 and in several Paris cinemas, followed by the opening film of the Cannes 2024 Festival, Le Deuxième Acte by Quentin Dupieux, which opens in cinemas on the evening of May 14.Judith Godrèche's short film Moi Aussi will be broadcast on France Télévisions at the end of the festival.
Last but not least, two films are set to hit cinemas at the same time as the Cannes Festival: Christophe Honoré's Marcello Mio, on May 21, and George Miller's Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, on May 22. June promises to be a busy month for Parisian moviegoers!
