Since earlier this year, Solidarité Sida (a French charity committed to fighting AIDS) enlists French people, young and old, to defend solidarity.
As French charity Solidarité Sida points it out, it’s been 40 years since France started to give 0.7% of its wealth to international solidarity and development. Today, many neighbor countries follow the movement (United-Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Luxembourg). But France only gives 0.37%...
In order to defend solidarity all together, Solidarité Sida launched Printemps Solidaire featuring many events including this important “demonstration-concert” held on April 16, 2017 on the Champs-Elysées. On that day, Printemps Solidaire attracted over 520,000 people!

On Sunday September 17, 2017, Printemps Solidaire issues a call and awaits you on the Place de la Concorde for a giant and always free meeting-concert.
On this occasion, 30 artists and speakers as generous as talented will be present to celebrate solidarity in music. Among them: -M-, Archive, Metronomy, C2C, Amadou & Mariam, FFF, Naive New Beaters, Yael Naim, Georgio, Imany, Vald, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Juliette Armanet, Faada Freddy, Tryo, Bernard Lavilliers, Ben l’Oncle Soul, Danakil, Rover, Alain Souchon, Pierre Souchon, Ours & Gaël Faure, David Donatien, Berywam, French Fuse and a few others.
For the “meeting” part, civil society actors, intellectuals and activists will come to speak about altruistic initiatives and share inspiring experiences: journalist and Médiapart president Edwy Plenel, Zuriel Oduwole a 14 y.o. American teenager who travels the world to speak in favor of education of girls in Africa , Eric Dupond-Moretti from the French Bar, Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim who is the voice of Chad people women facing global warming, Cédric Herrou a farmer from Nice who became the lead figure in the fight to help migrants, Bangladesh aristocrat Runa Khan who restores dignity to the most disadvantaged people, Barack Obama’s former advisor and development economist Esther Duflo and essay writer and Human Rights activist Raphaël Glucksmann.
