The American Center for Art and Culture will be hosting a Blue Bird Jazz Club evening on February 22, 2020, in honor of Black History Month. Starting at 7:30pm, lovers of good music will be able to enjoy a unique concert, with a repertoire highlighting"the grade tradition of black music, from hard-bop to blues and funk".
A concert offering"a new perspective on the original soundtrack of the 20th century", with five"virtuosos at the top of their game". Jean-Jacques Elangué, a Franco-Cameroonian saxophonist from the French jazz scene, and his international quintet of trumpeter and vocalist Ronald Baker, guitarist Josiah Woodson, bassist and double bassist Darryl Hall and drummer Denis Tchangou are scheduled to enchant you all evening. In short, an unprecedented dive into the heart of jazz and its contemporary history.
The Blue Bird, an ephemeral bar created especially for the occasion, is open to the public free of charge, but please note: it does not give access to the concert hall. However, you can still enjoy the musical ambience... How about a jazzy evening, folks?
