Summer is often a great time for musical events, led by such not-to-be-missed festivals as Lolla Paris and Rock en Seine. But free concerts also flourish in the four corners of the Île-de-France region during the summer season. After Yannick Noah in Enghien-les-Bains, Ibrahim Maalouf in Bondy and Ben l'Oncle Soul in Noisiel, now it's time for classical music.
On Saturday August 26, 2023, the town of Montreuil in Seine-Saint-Denis will welcome musician Renaud Capuçon for a major free concert, not to be missed from 6pm in Parc Montreau. The famous violinist will take the opportunity to offer a musical performance on the theme of film music. And to delight the ears of Montreuil residents, the violin virtuoso will be accompanied by the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France (conducted by Victor Julien-Laferrière), for an exceptional symphonic concert.
Organized to celebrate summer, this free concert is presented by Est Ensemble. Est Ensemble is an agglomeration community created in 2010, bringing together nine towns in Seine-Saint-Denis (Bagnolet, Bobigny, Bondy, Le Pré-Saint-Gervais, Les Lilas, Montreuil, Noisy- le Sec, Pantin, Romainville). Every summer, Est Ensemble organizes the"Bel été" event, featuring 250 free activities open to all. On August 26, for example, there will be a major free open-air symphonic concert by Renaud Capuçon and the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, not to be missed in Montreuil's Parc Montreau.
The concert will be followed by a free outdoor screening of Damien Chazelle's film"La La Land".
