There are 24 of them. 24 bands to grace one of the 5 Rock en Seine stages this Sunday, August 25, 2024, the fifth and final day of the Paris festival. So, which artists are not to be missed this Sunday? PJ Harvey, Pixies, LCD Soundsystem... ... round-up of the 5 bands and artists to see this August 25 at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud for this new edition of Rock en Seine!
LCD Soundsystem: this is the band that will close the 21st edition of Rock en Seine on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Do we really need to introduce this American band, which mixes electro and rock, and is led by James Murphy, who also co-founded the independent label DFA Records? We're hoping that LCD Soundsystem hits will be on the bill on Sunday evening. Losing My Edge ", " All My Friends ", " Drunk Girls " and " Daft Punk Is Playing at My House " spring to mind.
One thing's for sure: LCD Soundsystem is determined to prove that it still knows how to get the crowds dancing!
" Where Is My Mind? ", " Here Comes Your Man ", " Debaser " and " Monkey Gone to Heaven "... Do you know these hits? Then you must have grown up with Pixies in your ears. Since the late '80s, this rock band led by Black Francis has been delighting us with their consistently powerful songs. For many, their two opuses"Surfer Rosa" (1988) and"Doolittle" (1989) remain must-haves in the discography, but Pixies can also count on other very good discs released recently such as"Beneath the Eyrie" (2019) and"Doggerel" (2022).
This autumn, Pixies announce their comeback with"The Night The Zombies Came". We hope the band will take advantage of their set at Rock en Seine to play their new single " Chicken ".
Her two performances at the Olympia last autumn are among the finest concerts of 2023. At the end of August, PJ Harvey arrives at Rock en Seine with a set not to be missed. For PJ Harvey is one of those rare artists with mad talent, with a voice that has never ceased to evolve over the course of her career and albums. On August 25, on the Grande Scène, the British songwriter, singer and musician promises us an emotionally charged show, surrounded by excellent musicians such as John Parish and Jean-Marc Butty.
They hail from Belgium and left their mark on 2004 with their powerful hit " Do You Read Me? They are the members of Ghinzu, and they return to Rock en Seine after their remarkable appearance at the Parisian festival in 2016.
This year, the Belgian rock band celebrates the 20th anniversary of"Blow", their excellent second studio opus, which features " Do You Read Me? Needless to say, Ghinzu 's new set at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud is bound to create a few pogos. The charisma of frontman John Stargasm is sure to get the crowd going!
Since the release of her debut album,"La Symphonie des éclairs", Zaho de Sagazan has been on everyone's lips, and finds herself on cloud nine. Winner of four Victoires de la Musique awards, the French songwriter, composer, musician and singer created a buzz at the recent Cannes Film Festival with her cover of David Bowie's excellent " Modern Love ".
This summer, Zaho de Sagazan returns to the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, two years after her inaugural performance. We're sure festival-goers will be out in force to discover this musical phenomenon to whom everything seems to succeed.
Of course, this list is by no means exhaustive, and there are plenty of other bands not to be missed at Rock en Seine on August 25. And what are you planning to see and hear this Sunday at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud?
