Shortly after the theatrical release of"The Boy and the Heron", Hayao Miyazaki's latest film, lovers of the film scores composed by Joe Hisaishi, loyal collaborator of the Studio Ghibli co-founder, are over the moon.
Over the coming weeks and months, several Parisian cinemas will be showcasing music from Miyazaki's films. These include the Grand Rex and the Paris La Défense Arena, which will even be opening its doors to the immense Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi.
The Salle Cortot also awaits lovers of Miyazaki' s animated films for a series of exceptional concerts.
Join us in Paris's 17th arrondissement on April 3 and 4, 2024 for a live performance of the finest music from Miyazaki's films, performed by the Grissini Project. Founded by pianist Romain Vaudé, the Grissini Project is an ensemble of classically trained musicians who also specialize in music for video games, films and anime.
This quartet of enthusiasts will be taking to the Salle Cortot stage this autumn and winter to play some of the legendary music from Miyazaki's films, including " Princess Mononoke ", " My Neighbor Totoro ", " The Wind Rises ", " The Moving Castle ", " Kiki the Little Witch ", " Ponyo on the Cliff ", " Chihiro's Journey " and " The Castle in the Sky ".
