Taratata has been thrilling us for 30 years now, thanks to the performances of its many guest artists. This Thursday, August 22, 2024, France 2 looks back on these three decades with a prime-time documentary retracing the history of this famous show hosted by Nagui. In the second half of the evening, relive Taratata's 30th anniversary concert-event at the Paris La Défense Arena.

Céline Dion, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Indochine, Jean-Louis Aubert, but also Stevie Wonder, Patti Smith, Sharleen Spiteri, Lionel Richie, Adele, Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga and Sia... they all have one thing in common: they've all taken part in Taratata, the world's leading music program.

For 30 years now, French-speaking and international artists have willingly embraced the Taratata concept, each time offering a moment of musical bliss to the audience present for the occasion and to the many TV viewers. Whether solo, in duet or even in trio, the artists deliver exceptional performances on every program, some of which have gone down in history. Examples include the duet between David Bowie and Gail Ann Dorsey on the song " Under Pressure " in 1995, or the duet between Patti Smith and Cali on " Smells Like Teen Spirit " in 2008.

This Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 9:10pm, France 2 invites you to delve back into the history of this flagship show and explore 30 years of musical legend. On the program? The prime-time broadcast of a documentary featuring many of the highlights that made the show such a success. It's also an opportunity to (re)discover rare behind-the-scenes footage, as well as intimate interviews with the show's creators and memories of guest artists.

To continue this special evening, France 2 will rebroadcast Taratata's 30th anniversary concert at the Paris La Défense Arena on August 22 at 11:35pm. Remember, in October 2023, the Hauts-de-Seine venue welcomed over 80 national and international artists on a 1,000-square-meter stage. They all came together for a benefit concert for the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale, in support of the fight against cancer.

The rebroadcast of this concert event on France 2 features live performances by Alain Chamfort, Bernard Lavilliers, Ed Sheeran, Eddy de Pretto, Eddy Mitchell, Hoshi, Jean-Louis Aubert, Jeanne Added, Juliette Armanet, Laurent Voulzy, Louise Attaque, -M-, Nile Rodgers, Patrick Bruel, Santa, Shaka Ponk, Sharleen Spiteri and Véronique Sanson, Vianney and Zazie.
