Christian Guémy, better known under the pseudo C215, settles for a few months in thetemporary exhibition space of the Museum of Freemasonry, in the heart of the Grand Orient de France. To celebrate the 250 years of the latter, the renowned street-artist comes to highlight illustrious characters of the Masonic society , such as Stendhal, Louise Michel, Mirabeau or Josephine Baker, from January 17 to April 16, 2023.
The exhibition"Illustrious of Freemasonry", which you can enjoy with the entrance ticket of the museum, honors about thirty of these initiates who have marked the History of France by their actions and their works. The title of the exhibition means both"famous" but also"enlightened, in the light", a term widely used in the order to designate those who have had access to Masonic knowledge. C215, accustomed to coloring the cities with his sublime portraits, invests the museum to give life to great social figures with humanistic values.
