Where is the world's most beautiful street art mural? The answer in a few weeks' time, as the Street Art Cities app invites Internet users to vote for their favorite urban works from a selection of 80 frescoes, all completed in 2023. And, surprise, one of them is in Paris! Let's find out.

It's an application that street art enthusiasts know well. Street Art Cities is organizing a new edition of its competition to choose the world's most beautiful mural in 2023. So, who will succeed Studio Giftig, awarded last year for its work in Tilburg in the Netherlands? For the moment, the suspense remains, but Internet users are invited to vote for their favorite mural from a selection of 80 works in nearly 30 countries (Chile, Great Britain, Portugal, USA, Romania, Colombia, Germany, Vietnam...) and over 70 cities worldwide.

In France, 4 murals (compared with 11 last year) have been selected, including 1 in Paris. But who is the street artist behind this highly acclaimed fresco, and where is it located? We tell you all about it!

The only work created in Paris and selected by Street Art Cities for the 2023 edition of its international competition is located in the 13th arrondissement. A popular area for street artists, the capital's 13th arrondissement is packed with incredible murals, including those by Seth, Obey, C215, Cryptik, Inti, Maye, Mano and D*Face.

A few steps away, in the garden of the Raffinerie-Say, is the mural by Shozy, alias Sshhozzy. Created in summer 2023, this sublime fresco by the Moscow-born artist is a veritable trompe-l'oeil covering the entire facade of a Parisian building.

Known for his mastery of 3D techniques, Shozy is today considered one of the benchmarks in the art of optical illusion. His work, to be admired in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, is a fine demonstration of this. So, will Shozy's fresco be named the most beautiful in the world? See you soon to find out, and the winners of this competition organized by Street Art Cities.

In the meantime, head for the Raffinerie-Say garden (147 boulevard Vincent Auriol) to admire this fascinating mural by Shozy in Paris with your own eyes!

Other French works selected by Street Art Cities this year include a mural by Dulk in Montbéliard, one by Saype in Moûtiers and one by Ciclope in Valence. It's worth noting that Spain has the most murals selected for this year's competition, with a total of 24 entries!

Last year, three murals from Paris - by Seth, Vinie and Curtis Hylton - were selected to compete alongside 96 other international works.

So how do you vote for your favorite street art mural? Simply download the Street Art Cities app and click on " Best of 2023 ". You have until January 31, 2024 to cast your vote. Please note that you must register to vote.
