Street art has taken over the streets of Paris... For decades, street artists have been embellishing the streets and passageways of Paris with their colorful and committed works, whether discreetly or in a highly visible way! Banksy, Futura 2000, the late Miss Tic... At one time or another, many of them have expressed what's on their minds or in their hearts through graffiti and collage.
And among them, one artist - whose work is well known - is keeping a low profile in Paris... This is Go1n, an artist and activist who works both in the street and with art galleries (as evidenced by his exhibition at La Lison gallery in December 2023), proposing some of the most striking stencil art, in the image of a certain Banksy.
In total, only two of the artist's works can be seen in Paris, around the Place de la République: one in the Passage Brady (on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin side) and the other on rue Lancry.
There were originally three of them: the last, on rue Amelot, was recently removed before we came to take photos. As for their exact location, however, you'll have to look for them, as the editorial team prefers to remain discreet about their position to avoid them being deleted. Please note that we cannot guarantee that they will still be there when you visit, as they may disappear at any time.
But that's also the beauty of street art: to exist in the moment, ephemerally, without knowing whether the work will be there the next day or not (but of course we prefer them to last as long as possible). So, friends, are you ready to go on the hunt for Go1n's work?
