After taking an interest in flying with Saint-Exupéry, the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace at Le Bourget returns to the basics of aviation: flight. For without this natural and technological faculty, the museum itself would not exist! Through models, naturalized animals, fossils, archive documents, reproductions, games and interactive displays, visitors can discover the secrets of this incredible phenomenon, from airplanes to birds!
From December 17, 2024 to July 27, 2025, the exhibition reveals to young and old theevolution of flight, which scientists and engineers have been able to deconstruct using animals such as peregrine falcons, hummingbirds, bats, insects and even some fish, to create flying objects that take up the principles of flight. All of which highlights the similarities and differences between the animal world and aeronautics, both of which coexist, and which you can test out directly during the tour!
A playful discovery of both biology and technology, with a selection of pieces to help you understand the mechanics of flight: engines, propellers, flight instruments, recent innovations in aviation, and stories of pilot prowess.
