Ahead of its complete reopening in spring 2025, the Grand Palais honors contemporary Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota in a visual and poetic exhibition on view until March 19. At the end of 2025, contemporary art will once again take center stage at the Grand Palais. The sublime building, which faces the Petit Palais, will invite two great names in French contemporary art: Claire Tabouret and Eva Jospin.
For more than three months, from December 9 2025 to March 15 2026 to be precise, the creations of these two great artists will interact in the galleries of the Grand Palais in a never-before-seen exhibition.
A native of the Vaucluse region, Claire Tabouret graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in 2006. The painter, who has been based in the United States for several years now, has already exhibited all over the world. Today, major gallery owners and collectors are vying for her work, including Villa Medici in Rome, LACMA in Los Angeles, the Agnès b. Collection in Paris, and the Pinault Collection in Venice and Paris.
Recently, Claire Tabouret was chosen by the Élysée Palace and the Archdiocese of Paris to design contemporary stained glass windows for Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
For her part, Eva Jospin is also multiplying her exhibitions around the world. A 2002 graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris and a resident of the Académie de France à Rome - Villa Médicis in 2016-2017, the visual artist recently exhibited her work at the Orangerie du Château de Versailles and Galleria Continua in Paris.
The artist, daughter of former French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, captivates contemporary art enthusiasts with her imposing cardboard works and installations. And nothing seems to stop the visual artist, who has also created a monumental bas-relief in cardboard and concrete on the façade of the Kremlin-Bicêtre station (metro line 14).
On December 18, Eva Jospin was elected to chair 1 of the sculpture section of the Académie des Beaux-arts, a position previously held by sculptor Jean Cardot.
At the end of 2025, Claire Tabouret and Eva Jospin will bring their impressive creations together in a not-to-be-missed exhibition at the Grand Palais.
