Looking for a good reason to enjoy a fun and useful brunch in Paris? The Ernest association, which federates chefs, restaurateurs and shopkeepers around local food aid projects, is organizing its first Grand Brunch Street-Food in Paris.
In partnership with the Mairie du 11e arrondissement, and with the voluntary help of renowned chefs, this culinary charity event will help fund food aid in eastern Paris.
How can you be sure you're going to eat well? Participating restaurants and chefs include : Gregory Marchand (Frenchie To Go), Bertrand Grébaut (Septime), Arnaud Moreau (Pressing), Nicolas Guinebert (Paris-Texas), Valentine Davase (Le Réfectoire), Flore Granboulan (Les Pères Populaires), Franck Aboudarham (Encore), Florent Ciccoli (Jones), Jeff Schilde (Dame Jane), Inigo Ruiz Rituerto (Le Jourdain), Thilbault Eurin (Bien Elevé), Vincenzo Candido (Terra Candido), Thomas Chevrier (L'Orillon), Anna Trattles and Alice Quillet (Ten Belles). In short, there's no shortage of top names to delight us.
The event is designed to be festive, with the program featuring the chefs' flagship recipes, cooked in a Street Food format to be enjoyed in trays.
Following the same format as Ernest's previous event in Toulouse, where rugby players donned the apron, top-level athletes will be joining the event to assist the chefs.
Throughout the afternoon, challenges will be thrown down to these clerks for a day, who will challenge each other in Grand Olympiads, to the sound of DJ sets and live concerts. A prestigious jury of journalists and gastronomy professionals will be on hand to judge their ability to adapt to their role as commis: best dressing, vegetable-peeling speed contest, best egg-breaking and other exciting tests.
In short, to eat well, have fun and do a good deed, it's time to book!
