For the gourmets and the sweet tooths, it's time to discover the superb and delicious Tea Time of the Lutetia. We take the direction of the Parisian Palace to settle under the superb colored glass roof of its restaurant, the Saint-Germain. Note that this Tea Time is served every day for our greatest pleasure.
As a reminder, a Tea Time or in other words, an Afternoon Tea is composed of sweet and savory creations, all often served on a dumb waiter and to be enjoyed at snack time until late afternoon. Let's be clear, in general the evening, we do not dine after that or we eat a soup (well for the stomachs like mine).
So, to begin, we choose the hot drink. White tea for me and Viennese chocolate for my sidekick. We pass then to two scones each one accompanied by cream and home-made jams. The scones are melting to wish, it is a delight.
We continue by the salted creations but each one makes as he wants in the order of his choice. To us the crispy crunch with truffle and Beaufort, the tarama, cucumber and yuzu fig and the Cannelloni of beet and smoked herring eggs.
We then move on to the pretty pastries that change with the seasons: an exotic Pavlova, a Chou praliné tonka and praliné, a sesame palm, a pineapple grapefruit and vanilla and a hibiscus and raspberry dragee are the discoveries of the moment.
In short, a beautiful setting, a perfect service and sublime creations, what more could you ask for? Oh yes, perhaps the other gourmet pastries of Nicolas Guercio à la carte as a bonus...
Count 58€ for the tea time per person and 75€ for the champagne version with a glass of Veuve Cliquot.
