Starting with a divinely moist orange scone, topped with an assortment of mascarpone, honey and jam, this bold reinterpretation of the BritishAfternoon Tea puts transalpine delights and seasonal produce in the spotlight.
The three savory bites, including the astonishing Bomba Vitello Tonnato and the tasty Tomato Bruschetta, prepare the palate for an exquisite selection of Italian pastries.
Among the five sweet treats sublimated on a silver display, we find a sweet and rounded Baba au café, alongside the traditional Cannolo Siciliano reinvented in a lighter version and the crunchy Maritozzo chocolat à la stracciatella. At the top of the platter, a Cannoncino generously topped with Bronte pistachio cream, and a delicate Mimosa Tartelette.
This farandole of delicacies, to be savored in porcelain tableware with floral and oriental motifs by Ginori 1735, evolves with the seasons and is accompanied by a delicious and comforting hot chocolate, as well as a glass of Franciacorta, not to say the "Italian champagne".
