Looking for a sweet and savory tea time that's both good and affordable? Head for the Bachaumont restaurant in the 2nd arrondissement. Relax under the glass roof or in the dining room for a gourmet moment imagined by head chef Baptiste David and pastry chef Sophie Coulombel.
At Bachaumont, two new formulas are available. On the one hand, there's the Goûter formula at 19€, offering a selection ofexclusively sweetminiatures on a pretty board, featuring the 6 Bachaumont Tea Time treats , and on the other, the complete Tea Time Bachaumont formula at 29€, which includes the chef's savory touch .
Note that this tea time is offered from Friday to Saturday, from 3pm to 5pm.
The program for our spring tea time:
We start by choosing a hot drink. For our part, we opt for the vegetal matcha latte with oat milk and the Chaï with vegetal milk. Note that barista Jacob Lopoi makes superb latte art at the counter if you wish. A glass ofchampagne or a cocktail specially created by talented mixologist Hugo Simonet are alsoavailable.
We start with a savory plate featuring marjoram olive and lemon cake with salt, and a herbaceous avocado, oxalis and green apple tart. We love the crunchy, soft cake and the fresh, crispy tartlet. We love these original proposals.
We then move on to the pastries, with a kiwi & shiso pavlova, a lemon and coffee religieuse anda frozen bite of kumquattagetes (Mexican verbena) and frozen yoghurt, trou normand style. Beautiful combinations, freshness and pep, there's plenty to enjoy.
And we finish with asoft kasha and buckwheat praline brioche with bitter orange jam and ribot milkcream for dipping the brioche in, a Peruvian milk chocolate cookie with Piedmont hazelnuts, and a final ultra-gourmandgalanga chocolate bite.
So, how about an afternoon tea that's good value for money?
