Not content with already offering a competitive breakfast every day of the week, La Datcha also unveils a quality brunch, on Sundays as well as Saturdays, from 12pm to 2pm. In this large restaurant, with its wide windows bathed in natural light, on the first floor among the plants, or upstairs under the pretty ceiling of dried flowers, groups of friends and families on the go are invited to share this moment of indulgence.
Brunch at La Datcha is in line with local prices: 45€ for a full brunch, 60€ for the more adventurous, with a glass of champagne on top. Tchin tchin! In terms of composition, the brunch is flawless in terms of both quantity and quality. It has to be said that we liked the restaurant when it first opened!
Ukrainian-born chef Maksym Zorin is in charge of the savoury side of the menu, with his good-natured approach and great ideas. For the sweet side, pastry chef Anthony Nguyen is in charge, and the creations of this puff pastry aesthete are sure to make your mouth water. So, what does this brunch offer?
For €42, brunch consists of a trio of the crunchy, melting pastries for which La Datcha is famous, made on the premises every morning, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, a hot drink of your choice (we'd definitely recommend the hot chocolate, made to the highest standards in a large pot) and a bowl of muesli.
If you're thinking of the boring bowl of cereal you'll find at most brunches, this muesli with poached, tangy rhubarb will change your mind.
This is followed by eggs Benedict with salmon and a hollandaise sauce whipped up like a chantilly, and a magnificent Gâtinais poultry cooked in a ballotine, at low temperature, for a meltingly juicy finish. The strawberry dessert, meanwhile, makes us grateful for the arrival of spring and its beautiful seasonal produce.
La Datcha's brunch is a perfect combination of brunch classics, French-style viennoiseries and comfort food!
