For almost 10 years, La Liste has been ranking the world's 1,000 best restaurants. This 'ranking of rankings' closely monitors 35,000 restaurants in 200 countries around the world, using an algorithm that compiles and weights more than 1,100 sources - guidebooks, blogs and press articles - to give establishments a score out of 100 points - whose environmental and social commitments are also taken into account.
The 2025 ranking has just been released, and Michelin-starred chef Guy Savoy's restaurant at La Monnaie de Paris retains its top spot for the 8th year running, despite losing its third star in this year's Michelin Guide 2024. It shares first place on La Liste 2025 with eight other restaurants in Switzerland, Great Britain, the United States, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong and... France - La Vague d'Or in Saint-Tropez, Arnaud Donckele's restaurant.
Chef Arnaud Donckele places his restaurant Plénitude, located in the Samaritaine, in second place on La Liste 2025, alongside L'Ambroisie, chef Bernard Pacaud 's 3-star restaurant on Place des Vosges. In all, France boasts 7 restaurants in La Liste's top 25 this year. Find out which Parisian restaurants scored over 90/100 below.
