Having already opened two locations in Paris, Breizh Café continues its invasion of the capital, much to the delight of our taste buds. After the Marais and Odéon, Bertrand Larcher, the man behind the concept, has decided to set up shop in the Montorgueil district from July 13, 2018.
And Breizh Café regulars will find the great classics that have made the brand so successful, such as the crêpe tatin flambéed with Calvados, the lemon crêpe and the Crêpe autrement.
The recipes have been carefully devised by executive chef Yuji Watabé (20 years with the company), who brilliantly balances the Japanese-Breton cuisine.
New products include an exclusive, certified organic and gluten-free buckwheat from the Moulin de la Fatigue in Vitré, and a collaboration with Terroirs d'Avenir, which will have the privilege of producing a galette in its own name.
The Breizh Café will open its doors at 9 a.m. for early risers, and will offer morning specialities such as the double-barrelled Bordier sugar crepe and a fried egg and smoked bacon galette!
Finally, this Breizh Café in Montorgueil will hide a Cave à Cidre in the basement. Open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., the menu will include cocktails with a Japanese flavour, as well as 70 different ciders and perries to accompany buckwheat chips.
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
