Calling all night owls looking for trendy hot spots in Paris! Head to Chez Gala, the festive restaurant a stone's throw from the Champs-Élysées, to embark on a trendy culinary voyage from Tuesday to Sunday, starting at 7.45pm. A veritable Mediterranean abode of Parisian nightlife, Chez Gala resurrects with style the grand, opulent receptions of the 70s.
Take a seat in the midst of an elegant décor, lacquered floor-to-ceiling in blue, and enhanced by bushy pink feather hangers. The atmosphere is subdued, with the only sources of light coming from the large, colored stained-glass windows, a majestic disco ball with shimmering reflections and jewel candles on every table.
At the far end of the restaurant, a mezzanine with a wrought-iron balustrade houses a Berber tent for dining among Majorelle-blue hangings, in a very Yves Saint Laurent spirit. Gala is nostalgic, sultry but also mysterious... Not far from the Zellige bar, nestled behind the arcade in the back room, a glittering alcove is hidden in the walls: this is the lair of Madame Lune, the address's fortune-teller.
2 services, 2 atmospheres - The first starts at 7:45pm, with the voice of a pianist-singer helping us brush up on our classics, in an atmosphere more conducive to discussion. At 10.30pm, the atmosphere kicks up a notch! The DJ takes over and everyone joins in the party! In the basement of the restaurant, it's the disco-hammam that puts on the show, around a bar that blazes to the rhythm of the music. The spot is designed for large tables and private events.
On the gastronomic side, dishes are prepared by Chef Zac - trained at the Institut Paul Bocuse - with exceptional products. For the Entourage Paris and Culture groups, the Chef revisits French gastronomy with a Mediterranean twist, in the most beautiful and succulent of ways.
To begin with, the head bartender invites us to open the ball with the aesthetically pleasing Disco Moon and Blue Sky cocktails - one with thyme and lemon, the other with limoncello, vanilla, rose and lime.
Then, the show continues on the plate! For starters, choose from a selection of dishes to share, including panna cotta with fresh herbs and tomato confit, gravlax of sea bream seasoned with citrus vinaigrette, and even the delicious carpaccio of snacked rump steak heart, sprinkled with Parmesan. Dressed in elegant antique crockery, the mêts are both fresh and colorful. But the crowning glory goes to the truffle pinsa: soft and infinitely delicious, it's well worth the detour!
Between land and sea, the menu offers fish such as the tasty roasted red mullet Barbet, very fresh and sparkling with its citrus nuggets, or meat such as the traditional roast rack of lamb drizzled with chive oil. Absolutely juicy! Vegetarians, meanwhile, can indulge in the melt-in-the-mouth eggplant "caponata" with white grapes.
And, to end on a high note, there's nothing better than Chou Gala with vanilla and caramelized hazelnuts! An extremely generous pastry nugget, at the heart of which the textures are in perfect harmony, elevating gourmandise to the highest level.
Chez Gala invites you to enjoy a gourmet and festive escape, filled with beauty and mystery, as you stroll down La Plus Belle Avenue du Monde!
