Mohamed, the emblematic participant in season 10 of "Le Meilleur Pâtissier", has taken a new step in his passion for pastry-making by opening his first restaurant, Food'Art, in Asnières-sur-Seine. The opening, at the end of January 2024, marks the realization of a dream for the man who was revealed to the general public in 2021 on M6.
Mohamed's involvement with patisserie began unexpectedly, when he discovered the world of patisserie through a Pierre Hermé cake given to his wife. This revelation prompted him, with her support, to explore the world of sweet treats further, particularly during confinement, and to take part in the M6 show afterwards. Despite his elimination at the final hurdle, Cyril Lignac praised his remarkable career, especially for a self-taught pastry chef.
Food'Art is located at 2 rue Teddy-Riner in Asnières-sur-Seine. Imagine a spot where "homemade world cuisine" blends with a street art-inspired ambience, in a setting as lively and colorful as the creations served there.
The menu features world cuisine, all Halal. American and English burgers range from the classic cheddar cheese burger to the Nordic fish burger. There's also fish and chips and tenders with fries. On the French side, there's escalope forestière and entrecôte à la fleur de sel. Note that orders are taken from automatic terminals, just like in a fast-food restaurant, so you can choose the degree of doneness of the meat directly at the terminal.
On the Italian side, pasta and pizza are the order of the day, with pistachio penne and burrata pesto pizzas. There's also an Indian offering with Chicken Korma, Butter Chicken and Chicken Massala. Fans of Thai cuisine can indulge in Crying Tiger, Green Curry, Chicken Pad Thai or Shrimp Pad Thai.
As for pastries, there's a range of gourmet cookies, signature entremets (pistachio, Piedmont hazelnut, chocolate-coffee) and tarts (pistachio, vanilla, raspberry or lemon-sesame).
This project represents much more than just a restaurant for Mohamed. It's the culmination of his dedication and passion for pastry-making, supported by his many followers on Instagram (247,000 to date) and encouraged by local figures, including Asnières mayor Manuel Aeschlimann and Hauts-de-Seine senator Marie-Do Aeschlimann.
In short, why not discover Food'Art ? a place where Mohamed's passion for pastry-making translates into a palette of flavors to be savored, in a friendly, urban setting. Note that the restaurant is open non-stop every day from 12pm to 10:30pm, so you can sit down for a snack or a meal, and that everything on offer is halal, ideal during Ramadan.
